I am the daughter of a morbidly obese mother and I have battled for 25 years to get her to lose weight to no avail. While she was able to go to the shops and cook for herself she could eat what she wanted when she wanted. She has now developed type 2 diabetes - Surprise Surprise - and is virtually chair bound now relying on my father, and my aunt to feed her. Unfortunately she has brain washed them into giving her exactly what she wants - ie Kettle crisps and biscuits between meals and now weetabix, sugar and milk for a midnight snack, as an idiot nurse recently told her in hospital that she has to eat little and OFTEN. Obviously this nurse must have been blind, wasn't it obvious that she had been eating often for a long time. This just gave her the green light to eat when she wanted.
My point in this is - somebody must have been feeding this man because as sure as hell he could not do it for himself. Why should the NHS and ultimately us as tax payers pay for this gross stupidity. I have no sympathy for people like this, they are just escaping from life and expecting someone to look after them. If I can escape from a potentially obese future then anyone can.
