I have had swollen glands in the right hand side of my neck for as long as I can remember. They've never been painful, and doctors have never been alarmed when checking them - I must say, I have been proding them with my fingers for years wondering why there was something the size of a walnut down my throat....

I had chronic tonsillitis for years, and got my tonsils removed about 4 years ago. The glands were still swollen after that, but i got less colds/infections thereafter..

Anyway, because i'd always had digestive problems, I thought, a couple of weeks ago, that I should try some herbal remedy. i'd heard about Aloe Vera and its virtues, and so I bought some juice (diluted in water). I don't know what it has or hasn't done to my gut as yet after almost 2 weeks, but 3 days ago I checked my throat (a bit of a ritual!) and the lump had gone. I don't understand, and wonder if the Aloe Vera did it. But how? I haven't changed much else in my habits so I can only assume the plant has done it. I would be very interested to see what other people have to say about this, or if they have experienced something similar. I have a feeling, either way, that it's a good thing, though after about 20 years, i'm really puzzled as to what made the glands come right down in size..

Thank you for sharing about the aloe vera. I will give it a try. The glands in my neck by my collar bone are raised and puffy. I got back on my vitamins and was hoping that might help. They don't hurt, it just looks weird.

I Have had the glands all over my neck for years as well, i first noticed one when i was 16 now 22, last count there was about 10 all over the place. After having two seperate biopsys they have come back blank. i feel my neck from time to time especially after reading something about similar conditions in a newspaper. its comforting to know im not the only person out there proding at my neck. ill have to start trying alternative therapys i think.

Please let me know what if anything you have heard about the Aloe.. Like is it safe for kids, my 3 year old has had a lump on the side of his neck for several months, was told normal for kids after infection, but If I can avoid him being probed and upset I'd love to know about the Aloe if anyone has mentioned anything. Esp regarding the kids

    THanks and hopeful
